College Prep Course for High School Students

A Step-By Step Guide to Surviving the College Admissions Process for high school juniors and seniors. Students will leave this course knowing how to access scholarship finders, create admissions and scholarship essays, build a resume, learn more about the Common App and types of admission, navigate the financial aid process, actively participate in an interview, and more. Registered students will also be given the opportunity to hear from guest speakers about the college admissions process.

Registration deadline is July 3, 2020. This course is offered free to students enrolled in Monongalia County Schools. This course is open to juniors and seniors who attend Clay-Battelle, Morgantown, and University High Schools.

Space is limited to the first 20 students who register.

To participate, students will need access to internet and their BOE email accounts (@boe.mono.k12.wvu.us). Students can utilize chromebooks or smart phones for access. Students will need to commit to participation from 9 am until noon on Monday July 20 through Thursday July 23.
