🚀 We have some HUGE news at North Elementary! We’re thrilled to announce a new partnership with the WVU International STEM Mentors! Engineering students from around the world are teaming up with us, along with support from the Fairmont State SciTech Education Resource Center, to bring hands-on STEM adventures to every single child at North. We're talking everything from rocketry and robots to traveling back in time to measure dinosaur footprints! 🦖🤖 October is officially Rocketry Month! Pre-K will be launching Alka-Seltzer rockets, 5th grade will be blasting off soda bottle rockets, and every grade in between will build and launch their own design. This is where we need YOUR help! To make sure every student gets to participate, we are collecting donations for our supplies list: 🧪 Items Needed: 1-liter and 2-liter soda bottles (clean/empty) Duct tape & Scotch tape Tennis balls Modeling clay Straws

Our Fall Carnival will be held on September 17 from 5:00–7:00 PM, and we need our Panther families to help make it a fun and memorable event for everyone!



We are currently accepting monetary donations and concession/item donations to help support the carnival. We are also looking for families who are willing to volunteer their time to help with games, activities, concessions, setup, cleanup, and other carnival needs. Every donation, big or small, will be matched dollar-for-dollar by PTO!



Whether you donate, volunteer your time, or simply attend with your kiddos, your support makes a difference and helps us create an amazing experience for our students and families.

🤝 Panther Huddle: Parent Information Night – Tuesday, September 8 | 4:00–6:00 PM
Join us for an evening of connection and conversation! Teachers will share important classroom and grade-level information, including Title I resources and supports, talk with families about how students are adjusting, and work with families to set one goal for their child.
📚 Presentations:
• 1st & 3rd Grade – 4:15 PM
• 2nd & 4th Grade – 4:45 PM
• 5th Grade – 5:15 PM
Teachers will be available in classrooms from 4:00–6:00 PM for conversations.
